Transnational cooperation

The second section of this chapter looks in detail at transnational cooperation programs (also known as “Interreg VI B” programs).

These programs aim to foster better regional cooperation over larger transnational territories by promoting integrated and shared approaches to common problems. The transnational cooperation programs identified for Italy cover four main macro-areas: central Europe, the Mediterranean, the Alpine Space and the Adriatic-Ionian area.

We invite you to consult the first page of this section for a better understanding of the logic followed in the analysis of cooperative programs.
